About Jean P. Roux, Ph.D., LMFT

Dr. Jean P. Roux., Ph.D., LMFT is internationally known for his caring work with thousands of people over the years for various organizations across the U.S., Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa in a range of corporate, clinical and healthcare settings.

To quote Dr. Roux, “I care deeply about my patients or clients and for me it is an active collaborative journey. I provide personalized Psychotherapy and Behavioral Health Coaching and Consultation that is culturally sensitive and inclusive, and which respects and values all differences.

My services are available Mondays through Thursdays for tele-psychotherapy adult clients by appointment only (see online calendar scheduling). I use multiple modalities for the treatment of behavioral health, psychosocial and health related issues. Having extensive acute care experience for Kaiser Permanente Hospitals in California I have a specialty in caring for and treating Healthcare Professionals and in working with people living with chronic health conditions.

Educational Background

I  earned my Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts degrees (Counseling Psychology/Individual, Marriage and Family Psychotherapy Specialty) from the University San Francisco, and a doctorate degree in Clinical Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine, from Northcentral University. Additionally, I completed an Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University in Strategic Human Resources Management. I have done extensive clinical research, completed clinical internships at the University of San Francisco’s Family Therapy Institute, Northcentral University, the University of Texas at Tyler Family Medicine Program, the University of Montpellier III, and worked for many years at Kaiser Permanente Hospitals in Northern California.  I hold clinical certifications in Clinical and Organizational Psychology, Brief Strategic Psychotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programming, Myers-Briggs Personality Types, and Ericksonian Clinical Hypnosis. I also hold certifications in Executive Coaching, Leadership Coaching, and I am a HeartMath and Caring Science Caritas Certified Coach.
